Travelling by air

There are some airports near Ludwigshafen: Airport Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Airport Francfort Hahn, Airport Stuttgart and Airport Strassbourg and Airport Francfort.

The Airport Francfort Main (FRA) is about one hour away from Ludwigshafen by car, train or bus.

Traveling by car

  • If you are traveling on the A650 from the direction of Bad Dürkheim, take the Bruchwiesenstraße exit. Turn left onto the Bruchwiesenstraße and take the next left onto the Ernst-Boehe-Straße.
  • If you are traveling on the A650 from the direction of Mannheim, take the Gartenstadt exit. Turn right onto the Bruchwiesenstraße and then left at the second light onto the Ernst-Boehe-Straße.

Traveling by public transportation

  • You can reach Ludwigshafen am Rhein by train. The central station is quite near to the University. If you arrive at the central station of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, take bus route 75 in the direction of Rheingöhnheim. Exit at the bus stop “Große Blies.”
  • Coming e. g. from Francfort your train will arrive at Mannheim, probably you will go to the Berliner Platz (Ludwigshafen) by tram, change there and take bus route 75 in the direction of Rheingöhnheim or bus route 76 in the direction of Maudach. Exit at the bus stop “Große Blies”.
